I am very pleased with Keller Williams’ philosophy about Your Listings Your Leads.  They truly believe it is about MY business not the Keller Williams logo.

I did a little research and discovered that since 2008 Keller Williams has promoted the “Your Listings Your Leads” by partnering with several third-party tools to ensure that when a buyer inquires about a Keller Williams listing, it comes back to the listing agent.  This includes Trulia, Zillow, and Google. Who better to answer the questions about a listing than the agent that has it listed!

When checking with other companies, I discovered that they don’t have this same philosophy. In fact, when they get a lead on one of the office listings, some companies actually sell the lead back to the agents, and not necessarily the agent with the listing. I don’t know about you, but to me, this just doesn’t sound fair, you did all the work to get the listing, you should get the leads from your own company.  This is also true when a sign call comes in on an office listing.  This is why some companies don’t allow agents to put their own number on the sign.
